Truck will not move

I have a 2011 4x4 with 5.0l. When the truck is not driven for about 2 days and I start it up and put it in reverse it takes a few seconds before it starts to move backwards. Anyone have this problem or know what is wrong. I did a search on transmission problems and could not find anything.

Come on guys lets try to help the guy out a little bit instead of just saying go to the dealer. I mean he should go to the dealer, but it would be better when he brings it to them if someone else has had this issue and knows what to look for.

Kskr, I have a 2010, I've noticed a slight delay going from P to D first thing in the morning if I just get in and go, almost like the truck is sluggish and needed a second to idle. I try to let it run for at least 30 seconds or so. The delay is like half a second to 2, nothing I'm worried about.

Ruffin-it and 05supercrew thanks for your replies. I took my truck to the dealer last Friday and talked to the assistant service manager (he has a degree in psyschology) and he said it probably neede a reflash. I will talk to the service manager later this week.

If the trans fluid is low I would think it would do it all the time--only does it after the truck sits longer than 2 days.
Is it possible that the fluid is draining out of the converter? I do not know if that is even possible.

Dealer replaced 3 solenoids in the transmission per tsb 11-11-11. Hopefully that will fix the problem.

Rear window or break light still leaking.

Did they have it do it when it was at the dealer?

I noticed once the temperature drops below 40 mine does this, warmer days it's not nearly as bad and i think enough where the semi-retarded service manager will say it's nothing.

Anymore on this? I called my service guy and he's looking to see if there are any tsb's. I have a '09. I recently bought a work car, so now my truck sits for days at a time. I was like wtf first time I noticed it.

Did not fix the problem so back to the dealership. Maybe we need to report this problem to the NHTSA. Could be a safety issue if you park your vehicle on a grade by people or traffic.

your issue must be more severe, mine just has a delay occasionally after cold start. After the initial time it doesn't do it again

Mine tends to take a few seconds to engage in reverse after non-use. Not as long as you indicate, dealer performed some transmission flashes but didn't seem to correct this issue.
