....and laughed so hard I fell out of my chair. So, first, the link-

Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. For a mere $3.5K MORE than what you would pay for a COMPLETELY LOADED NEW 2012 Raptor, you have the exclusive priviledge of owning a USED 2011 Raptor! I know these things are in short supply, but what kind of an idiot spends close to $4k more on a used vehicle as compared to buying new? Anyway, spotted it and thought a few people on here would get a kick out of it. And, who knows? Maybe someone on here was looking for a nice used raptor that they could pay more for used than new........

Like any car dealer, slap the highest price you can and hope somebody goes for it.
Seriously, no different than slapping an Addendum Sticker next to the MSRP sticker on a new car or truck. They do that because people will actually purchase or deal off the higher price. That translates into mucho proft.
There is always someone who doesn't know any better, doesn't research before buying, or just doesn't care.
But I agree with you...not a smart buy....and pretty humorous knowing better!

Like a lot of places there can be a premium for a new raptor. I believe the dealers around here call it a "regional adjustment fee". All very clever, but they dont even charge that much of a premium.
Dealers up here have a mark up of about $10k for any SVT/Roush ride.... There was a Roush Nitemare for sale a couple years ago for about $42k... like we need a 400hp 2wd truck up here...
Just like Hawaii. Dealers mark the prices up because it's not like buyers can travel to the next state over and pick up the truck of their dreams. Out here you can instantly add $5k to the price of any truck you are looking for. I know when I bought mine it was the only one on the island that had everything I was looking for. Heck it had more than I was looking for, but the wife said if you're going to buy a new one you might as well get one with all the bells and whistles so you'll keep it this time.
