Looking to replace my factory side steps. I don't like how plastic they look and how they are grey and black. Any new f150s w/ black side steps/ running boards?

I like mine a lot - and they came from the Ford dealer (they were installed prior to me picking the truck up). I have yet to slip off of them in rain or snow, and they match up pretty well with the box side steps too!

run a set of n-fabs, going to be the best looking running boards available unless your going for a street look

 

I put o Luverne brand black nerds. Stainless steel underneath so less likely to rust over time.

Maybe you were correct the first time.

 

westin bars arent bad, i had them once. I would always get the free replacement or warranty option, as any pair that I have ever had seems to rust out or pit, specially if you live where salt becomes your nemisis every winter.

 

If you are talking actual running boards and not nerf bars, I bought a used set of running boards that came off of a King Ranch F150 and had them Line-X'd

(Yes they are aligned properly, they just look off in this picture)

 

I put a pair of Lund 5" black oval nerf bars on my FX4. They have a lifetime warranty and they claim they are rust/corrosion resistant.

 

Buy some power boards from AMP Research. I had those on my FX4 before i traded for my platinum. Great boards and worth the money....i think i paid $1100 for the set.
