Coming back to F150

Hey guys, looking at getting a 2011 F150, I miss having my truck, I am looking at a 2011 F150 supercab xlt with offroad package, I had a 2007 xlt super crew, I am debating about the super crew do to having my youngest still in a car seat, I am 6ft, I placed the drivers seat where I was comfortable sitting in it, then jumped into the back seat my knees almost hit the seat, kids are going to get bigger, any help for you guys with kids and supercabs please chime in.

I have never had a supercab, im on my second screw now and all I can say is theres a ton of room in the back of it. I dont have any kids, but a few times I have loaded my back seats up with adults with plenty of leg room. I've also used the back seats to carry cargo since the seats flip up. If you plan on keeping your truck a while to the point your kids will be bigger in it I would definately get the screw now, then regret it later.

Your kids are going to be crammed in that supercab as they grow.

I have had a 2006 XLT Supercab and a 2009 FX4 Supercab. I now have a supercrewcab. World of difference between the two. That said, my two boys, 12 yrs old now, didn't have any problems with the supercab trucks. What I didn't like about the Supercab was the suicide doors when you needed to get stuff, or people, in and out of the truck in a tight spot. I think the supercabs look better, but that's just my opinion and plenty of folks here will disagree.

Supercrew is cavernous. Basicly a dads mini van. Supercrew with 6.5 bed would be ideal.

SuperCrew all the way. The new SupreCrews are much roomier than the 2007.

If you have a family get a supercrew.

my last 3 trucks were all crew cabs and this go around i went with a supercab. Haven't regretted it since but i rarely have people in the back seat and i could care less if they are comfortable or not.

A screw would be the only way to go. No way I would haul my kids in a supercab on a regular basis.

I faced a similar situation 4 years ago and let me tell you that those darned kids grow fast! I went with a supercab and last year started having 'space' concerns for the kids in the back. This week I bought a new 2011 crew cab and the kids love having room to stretch their little legs.

Having a SuperCab after 3 Regular Cab trucks, I can say I love it. At 5'8", riding in the rear seat in my Dad's '07 XLT SuperCab, I can honestly say that if people are gonna be in the rear seat often, get a SuperCrew. Your passengers will thank you.

I rarely carry people in the back but when I do it is nice to have the space, and it's also nice for putting cargo in if you're like me and without a tonneau cover in winter

Supercabs all the way - They look nicer and are more functional with the 6.5 bed. Super crew 6.5 are way just too long.
I never really got the point of supercrews. Supercabs are not like what they were years ago. I am 6' 1" and I feel that there is plenty of room back there. As for the 'Family man' I would say most kids are smaller than me. As for buddies, they will rarely ride back there - or maybe I just don't have many friends

If you have kids and they ride regularly get the SCREW. If you dont have kids or kids ride every so often then dont get it. I wanted the SCREW but couldnt justify the extra 3 grand, less MPG for it. I ride my self only 90% of the time, the other 9% of the time its just wife and I. 1% of the time like once or twice a year people ride in the back, so its not worth it. Ford could take notes from dodge and basically have 4 doors on a super cab.

Sell the kids now while they are still worth something and get the truck you want! If you wait too long they won't be worth anything and they will nickel and dime you to death.

If for some reason you decide to keep them the crew cab would be much better.

No way i'd be comfortable in the back of my scab, way to small for anything over a 10 minute ride to walmart. For friends, i could care less if their comfortable, but if i had a family i would.

Also got to think, what's easier to throw a car seat in and take your kid in and out of it.

I love my supercab, but if i had a wife and kids i'd be back in a 4 door.
