2009-2012 Center Console

I have a 2011 F150 XLT SCAB with the Center Console, I am thinking about moving it back about 2-3 inches. With the lid up it's hard to reach back and get something out of it. I took it loose and there is a beefy Aluminum bracket it mounts to. Has anyone tried to move there Console Back a few inches. My truck does not have the shifter in the Center Console, it's on the Tree. Any thoughts, I am wanting to be able to get to my Austrian Buddy (Glock) easily!

Thanks MP

Hmm I was thinking of mounting a CGC serpa holster for the p226 under the stearing wheel. Quicker draw, less clutter.

does it have a flow through console? If so, would that mess it up?

XLT F150's do not have flow-through consoles.

If it were possible, that would be a lot of work to only move the console 2-3 inches. If it were me I would consider making a divider type organizer to put in the bottom of the console. That way you could keep the things you may need toward the front of the console.

I keep my G-36 in an Alessi shoulder rig.

Both are so light, I sometimes forget I'm wearing it. Easier and faster than stashing it in the console.

I do have a biometric mini-safe cabled to and stashed under the passenger seat for times when concealed carry isn't permitted.

My center console is so full of stuff, I'd be searching for 1/2 hour before coming across it!!
