What didn't get the luxury package with leather? If you got the cloth seats what else did it come with? Remote start? Buying a new truck trying to decide if I should get the luxury package with leather etc or just find one with cloth seats.. Any fx4 owners with cloth seats out there??

I have cloth and have TT mirrors, tailgate step, brake controller & autostart. I miss the heated seats from my 06 FX4 but other than that I am very pleased with everything else.

 

Oh, I also have reverse camera...

 

Did y'all build yours or pick it up just walkin into a dealer? I wonder if the cloth seats come stock with remote start

 

I have the luxury package on my 2011.

If you go and build the truck on fords site it will tell you the options that each package includes. My plan was to get a basic fx4 with the plus package ( gives you 6 disc and a few other basic options that are nice) but i could not find a candy red any where within a few hundred miles with what i wanted so i had to spend a little more. So far no complaints besides sync

 

It doesn't have to come with any extras unless it's ordered with extras. The FX4's w/ cloth seats sitting on the dealer lots usually have added options to make them appeal to more people.
I ordered mine as stripped down as possible. The only 2 options I checked off when ordering were 20" wheels and Ecoboost engine. I don't have sliding rear window, moon roof, trailer brake controller, man step, remote start. upgraded stereo etc.. I didn't want any of that stuff. The only way I was going to find a stripped down FX4 SCAB with 20's and EB was to order it so I did.

It doesn't come stock with remote start. But you can order it that way or have the dealer add it on.

 

I ordered mine and remote start was an option that I took on my truck. It also has the telescoping steering column.

 

Mine was located sitting on another dealers lot. Actually, by me there are TONS of trucks with Leather, and TONS of Crew Cabs...however I was lucky because the exact truck I wanted (cloth, 5.0, super cab in ignot silver with 20"s) was sitting on a lot 8 miles away

There was also a $1,000 "FX Luxury Discount" right off sticker, making the actual cost $2K, not $3K.

 

Blue Jeans are bad about staining light colored leather seats. Leather seat also need to be properly cleaned to keep them looking decent.

 

Wish I had the power fold mirrors and remote start but didn't want leather. Wish I would have been patient enough to order one exactly like I wanted

 

The FX models only come in black leather. It's really barely leather anyway, mostly leatherette. If you want any of the other options you'll spend half the price of the luxury package and get half the stuff but leather alone in most vehicles is $1k to $1500 anyway so you come out ahead with the package. It will pretty much pays for itself on the resale. If the rear parking sensors save you from backing that very expensive painted bumper into something that will make up for the cost too.

 

yeah until seeing this thread with a couple of members saying they had an FX4 with cloth I thought they were all black (fake) leather as well... but the blue jeans staining the seat comment above makes no sence to me an FX4 has Black interior period hows that gonna stain from jeans? Thats the FX4 black interior and carbon fiber accents rather than wood...? Once a month whipe the seats out with a damp washcloth and you're good once in a while put some black majic interior protectant on them and they are good to go...

 

I got the leather w/ nav, sunroof, etc. I looked at the cloth, but I wanted the heated and air conditioned seats.
