Amsoil EaA Air Filters

Hey guys, if you care, Amsoil currently had no immediate plans to produce the EaA air filter for later model F150's, to include all engines, even the '09-'10's with 5.4. They are "reviewing" their filter requirements, but nothing on the drawing board for your trucks in the updcoming year.

If this is something you'd be interested in, or even if it's not something you'd be interested in but don't mind helping out, please let them know. Please get in touch with your dealer or Amsoil directly to voice your desire for air filters for the (late model) 5.4, 5.0, 6.2, and eco boost motors! You can relay your desires to one of the two addresses below.

tech@amsoil.com
ideas@amsoil.com

This is not SPAM guys, sincerely...I know I'd want one if I were getting my new truck. Just FYI and nothing more.

I would have purchased one a few week's ago if they existed. My son is looking for a filter for his 3.7L Stang and is in the same boat.

I just checked my Amsoil account and it still lists them. They still have part # EAO11-EA for my 10' 5.4L

Did you hear when they are supposed to stop production? If so im going to stock up since thats all I use in it.

MAF sensor characteristics are tuned to the flow characteristics of the OEM paper filter.

After market air filters are known to throw a CEL in some cases.

Maybe if you use an oiled filter thats dripping wet and you cake the MAF. I've never had an issue with any aftermarket air filters, oiled gauze included.

You are trying to be funny, right? Good one buddy.

Sure, aftermarket cold air intakes throw CELs. All of the time when they aren't tuned for the increase volume of a increased MAF sensor housing.

You guys search around at some of this guys other posts...I assure you the only reason he jumped on here is because it's an Amsoil thread and he doesn't sleep well unless he bashes it first. I've never heard of a stock replacement, non-oiled air filter causing problems. Now YOU can give it a break dude!

Nasty...no, they don't have one for ANY of the new motors yet, thus the reason I started this thread with the instructions. People need to let Amsoil know there's a market for the new motor...if you're intereste of course.

No, your totally wrong! There is no increase in volume with the aftermarket intakes. Since the OEM intake isn't the limiting factor in air volume, the air
velocity is decreased with the larger diameter intake, which throws the MAF
measurement off.
