2009+ Ford F150 Bilstein Shock Guide

Hi guys,

I wanted to put together a Bilstein Shock reference guide for the members. The following are a list of available Bilstein Shocks for the 2009 & Newer Ford F150.

Bilstein HD Series (4600)
Bilstein B6 Heavy Duty monotube gas pressure shocks and struts are the ideal choice for most vehicles, including full-size sedans, SUVs and trucks. These shocks provide improved handling and stability, without sacrificing ride comfort. They offer super damping ability that makes them ideal for the driver who demands superior performance, while maintaining an exceptional street ride. (yellow paint, steel body)

Bilstein 5100 Series
Bilstein 5100 Series Ride Height Adjustable Shock Absorbers are designed for front coilover style pickup suspensions. The monotube shocks feature a 46mm digressive piston with self-adjusting deflective disc valving. Multiple snap-ring grooves in the shock body allow for different spring seat positions, providing 0"-2.5" of front end lift, depending on application. Provides increased wheel travel and improved handling! (zinc-plated steel body, Triple-C-Technology coating)

Coming off backorder second week of February. I would recommend getting on the waiting list, we don't charge for them until we ship.

Would I want to use the 5100 extended length for a 4wd with the 3" blocks on the rear?

Yes, they will work perfect for the 3" block, AAL or OEM. If you go any higher they will not work. I plan to use them with air bags in the rear for towing and the fronts set at 2.25". I wanted the AAL (add a leaf) but do not want a rougher ride when not towing. The 5100's have excellent ratings and retain 95% of the factory ride. If you go up past 1.5" on the front the ride gets a little stiffer. You just have a 3" block and not a 3" on top of your factory 1.26" block right? If you have stacked bloocks then you will be too high for oem or 5100's.

No I replaced the factory blocks with a 3". I did a spacer in the front and I'd like to do the 5100's up front eventually. Thanks

We carry those as well! They are non application specific though. Feel free to email me at forums@ajusa.com with your truck specs and if you are lifted at all and I will do some research for you.
