I have been wanting one of these for awhile but was not sure how they would look in person, and today I was at a 4wheelparts store for warranty work and saw one. I thought it was very nice quality and looked real mean. But when I asked how much they said $350 with a $50 mail in rebate, which didn'nt really bother me. But I asked about how easy the install was and the guy said that it was very time consuming and hard, about 2 1/2hours of work, because you had to cut out your old grille and custom fit it in. Then I asked how much they would charge and he said $220. Now does anyone have any knowledge if this guy was telling me right or was just trying to get a sale? And or give me advice on how to install it myself? I will admit I have minimal handy man skills but I would die before I have some one charge me $220 for a grille installation

Yah it aint bad. its like a RBP but without the price tag! Dont be scared of a grille installation or cutting for that matter. if you take your time you will be fine. I havent installed one on the 09+ trucks, but i put in two of the chrome billet grilles that are the full replacements, not the bolt-over style and it wasnt that bad. it may take you a couple hours mainly just taking your time and getting the correct tools, but whatever you do dont pay 220 bucks for a grille installation you can easily do yourself.

 

Not a fan but it's your truck so if you like it, who cares what anyone else thinks!

 

I got charged $100 at truck toys in ft worth tx not sure where you live but i watched them and it only took an hr pretty much they cut the whole original grille out and just bolted the new one on looks great i love it
