Accuracy of Dealer Printed Invoice

My dealer locates trucks off the Ford Dealer Access, and prints off sheets that show the trucks window sticker with costs for X,A, and Z plans and the supposed invoice. How accurate it this "invoice" number? I see a "holdback" figure, as well.

I suspect the invoice is not actually accurate. Can I figure out what the dealer is actually paying?

The exact price a dealer pays depends on a number of variables. However when it comes to the price you pay, invoice minus rebates is always a reasonable deal for both parties.

It should be accurate provided the dealer with the truck has not added any additional things like spray-in bed liner, tint, pin striping or whatever.

Thanks guys. Usually buy at invoice or below, minus incentives, but really questioned if the printout was accurate or some smoke and mirrors.

I had a Ford employee online track a truck a few years ago, and he said the invoice I was paying really wasn't invoice.

It is and it isn't. The printout is the accurate factory invoice that you want to use for your own purposes. But not accurate as being the price the dealer actually pays.

At MSRP the dealer is making a lot of money on a vehicle at invoice not so much. They have hold back and everything else. By the time a dealer pays overhead, employee comission and what not their take on vehicle is actually pretty small, but thats why quanity is important sell 100 vehicles a month and as a dealer you stand to make big bucks. Also things like the Aveo, fiesta etc are usually sold at cost, those cars are made to get people into the brand and in hope bring the car back for service or they buy a bigger better car in the future.
