PATS/Securilok

My remote start stopped working with a fast flash of security on dash. I reprogrammed the PATS/Securilok kit with both master keys and can get the remote start to work for a while (maybe an hour) then it stops working again. I am guessing that the PATS/Securilok module is gone (again). Did this under warranty and the dealer was very vague about what was done except that he did mention they had a bunch of bad modules. Anyway, out of warranty now and was wondering if anyone had a picture of what this module and/or antenae looks like and where it can be found. I thought that I might be able to check the wiring for maybe a bad connection. Or anyone have any other ideas.

The actually PATS bypass module for remote start is relatively inexpensive, about $30-$40. Search for something close to 8L3Z-19G365-BA. You're dealer will provide you with the actual part number, or many on-line sites will.

It's a very simple process to replace the module only, but if you have to replace the key-lock antenna, it's a bit more involved (this it also comes with the kit).

Thanks, I looked it up on the internet so I knew what I was looking for. Found it wiggles all the wires and reprogrammed. Working for now.

I haven't been able to find much about failures of these units and since this appears to be my second in 2.5 years I was trying to figure out if maybe something else was causing it to fail.
