Heating question

Hey guys...quick question and i feel stupid to ask this lol
I have the climate control where i set my truck to the certain temperature. The heat only comes out of the floor. It does not come out of the vents in front of my. The truck warms up quick but is this normal? Air conditioning comes out of the vents but not the heat?

I am not 100%, but I am pretty sure that when the truck is heating it pumps air out of the footwells and the defrost. This is so the windshield is ice free for ya.

I believe that is part of the "Auto" programming. My others cars do this too (restrict airflow to just the floor and windshield when the heat is on). Turn off Auto if you want to manually override and direct airflow to the dash vents, your face and hands, etc.
