Changing headlight bulbs....trick?

Hey guys, I know this is a stupid question...I tried installing Silverstars in my headlights, got the housing out of the truck no problem, but as hard as I pulled, I couldnt remove the socket from the bulb in the housing. Is there a trick to it? I'm tempted to try to pry off the socket with a screwdriver but I fear breaking the socket, or cracking the housing...

As I recall on my 2006 I had to twist the socket, roughly 1/4 turn, so as to unlock it from the light housing. Maybe the new are the same.

In the owners manual it says to remove the socket from the bulb, then remove the bulb from the housing.

There is a little finger or "tab" holding the socket on, you need to move it with a small flat head screwdriver, I figured that out after I broke it...

After you remove the bolt, you give the light a quick pull straight forward. Put you hand on the outside of the headlight where the light is vertical against the quarter panel.

Good Luck.
