Gas Mileage

I gotta 2010 regular cab 4x4 and am gettin around 13-14 mpg with 285 tires. Just wondering what everyone else with the 4 door truck and such are getting. This is awful gas mileage for a 2 door truck

Which engine do you have?

In just under a year that I've owned this truck I've seen lows around 18 and highs around 22. This is with 3.7 liters, six cylinders, though.

Driving habits will have some pretty big effects on mpg.

he upped his tire size, if the 13-14 is in the city that's not too far off from what i'd expect. is your speedo corrected for the tire size? you can always tune it and gain some MPG, but not enough where it will probably ever pay for itself.

2010 regular cab, 4x4, 4.6, 6 speed automatic with the 3.73 LS rear end. Just put 800 miles on her going to North Carolina and averaged 18.6 MPG at around 70 MPH. I generally get around 15-16 MPH running back and forth to work. I run a set of 305/50-20's all summer long and it gets pretty much the same mileage.

I'm getting 16-17mpg combination driving and 18-19 hwy if I stay a little below 70 mph. This is leveled and with larger tires, was getting close to 21mpg hwy with stock tires. Great for a large 4x4 Screw.

XLT 4x2 with the 5.0, 3.55s and my best so far is 22.7 with the cruise set at 68. I usually get about 20.5 for a week's mixed driving. Weather conditions can really cut yourmpg. A headwind can take off 2 mpg, so I have discovered. I have one trip meter that has never been reset since the truck was built and it shows 19.4 mpg for 10,100 miles.

Computer read 21 even on my trip from sw VA to emerald isle this week. I have the 4.6L 3v 4x4 scab. My computer is usually a mpg too high so I'd say I got an actual 19.5 - 20 mpg. Average driving is 17-18 mpg on back roads with very little city driving.

I'm getting 15 mpg in my 2011 FX4 5.5' bed, 20" wheels with a mixed driving and a few WOT runs to break it in. I'm sure the mileage will get better as it only has 400 miles on it.

My trip meter for 9800 miles shows 15.4mpg, and I drive like a normal person 95% percent of the time...not overly happy with my combined fuel milage...
