Reprogramming factory defaults

So people are starting to realize that someone real smart at Ford decided it had to be <32 degrees F to warrant activating the heated seats as part of the remote start sequence.

My question is: Is it possible to reprogram the factory default setting for this?

I don't know about anyone else but 45F seems plenty cold enough to warrant turning the seats on. It should be a user programmable option.

I'd like to know as well!

I like to smoke cigars while I drive, so I've usually got one or more windows open. I start turning on the heated seats when it gets down to 60F.

there are a couple ways do acomplish this without ( in my mind ) voiding any warranty.
find where the sensor is for this function to operate. Provide less/more resistance in that cirkt where it would 'think' its under 32 degrees. you would probably want a double pole single throw switch where you could switch it back to normal when you get in the vehicle. or if there are any accy hot after you actually have the key in the ignition. you could use a relay.
when the truck is remote started, this relay changes the resistnace 'seen' by the PCM and or other module. after you are in the vehicle and the keys are actually in play. it could switch back.

knowing all of the specifics on whats involved in its temp determination and how you want it to operate. i could easily draw something up.

it would probably take a couple relays and a variable resistor for fine tuning.
