HBS leveling kit

Long time reader first time poster. I saw TXST8tj post on installing a leveling kit that looks like a great help. I have an '09 though and hear they are more difficult to install. Any truth to this? Anything you can advise would be appreciated!
Thanks

I installed 2" Autospring leveling kits on my 06 and my 11 and it's basically the same installation procedure. The only difference is it's harder to get the shock w/spacer back into place on a 09+. On my 06 the shock w/spacer went right back in. On my '11 (as per Autospring's instructions) I used a bottle jack between the lower control arm and the upper shock tower and the shock w/spacer went right back in. I tried it first without a bottlejack and it was a no go.

don't the newer trucks need the battery disconnected when installing leveling kits as to not damage the electronic steering??

Yes, the 2011's do. But not the 6.2's, they have hydraulic power steering.

Complete!

Thanks for all the comments on the lift. I have very little mechanical savy, but had no issues what so ever with the lift. I completed it in about 2 hours and used tools from around the shop. The best advice was using the jack to lift things up and into place to reconnect.

Ill try to post the before and after.

Thanks again for all the help!
