Looking to change my speakers out on my 2011 f150, just curious what kind of adapters do you guys use to make them work? Thanks!

What do you mean "adapters"? Like is speaker wiring adapters? If so, the easiest is to get them from a place like Crutchfield:

6X8 or 5X7 speakers will fit directly into the doors. All you need to do is have the adapters for the wiring if you don't want to cut the plug off the end of the factory wiring. I did it, and it was very easy. I also added an amp and a sub and another amp. Sounds much better with Polk Audios in the doors.

I recently replaced my factory speakers with the items below in my 2011 F150 FX4 Supercrew. The one tip I have is to use VHB, Very High Bond, double sided tape to hold the speaker harness adapter against the door. Once it's connected to the new speaker the lead is pretty long and will dangle - potentially banging against inside of door. So what I did was use some VHB on the flat surface of the mated adapter and factory connector - then reach inside the door and stick the entire assembly to a flat part of the door frame. Just inside the door, on the passenger compartment side and away from any moving parts.

Anyway... the sound is spectacular compared to stock - and the job is super easy. I used an electric screwdriver with a socket adapter, two sockets, and a paint can opener to remove the plastic parts that clip in to the door. There are many youtube videos on the subject. Oh, one other tip - the door lock bar is said to be tricky - what I did was pull the lock bar up then flex the door plastic as I was re-installing it to align the hole in door plastic with lock bar and then slide down.
