Updating 2010 FX4 rear differential to 2011 specs

So I keep seeing things about how the 2011 FX4 with electronic locking rear differential acts like a limited slip differential in 2WD. Apparently it's controlled by either the traction control module or some other computer module. My question is can my 2010 FX4 with electronic locking rear differential be updated so that it performs the same way the 2011 does?

I thought they were the same, 09 and up, with regards to the traction control anyway.

Yeah, I've read about the raptor switch and I may go that way. I hate the way my truck currently acts in 2WD -- every bit as crappy as an open differential. I've seen the video on here of the guy showing his 2011 with the locking differential and in 2WD both rear wheels are obviously driving. Everyone seems to agree that Ford achieved it by programming changes to either the PCM or traction control module. So, I'm wondering if programming changes could be made to my truck or if I could replace the necessary module with the 2011 version.

I don't think there is a difference. My traction control seems to help alot. I really don't notice a difference between the open e-locker and my previous limited slip.

The 11 e-locker is an open diff when in 2wd. The only upgrade I've heard of is to make it function like the Raptor does.
