2009 Ford F150 - Need Help Please

I just installed an OEM Back Up Camera and am viewing the image thru my Garmin Dezl 560 which has a Video Input. I followed all the instructions that were listed in other Threads for a proper and operational end result. This is my issue, if the Garmin is running on its Internal Battery, the image is 100%. As soon as I plug the Garmin into the 12V socket for power, the image goes crazy. (It dims, lines and distortion run through the screen).

I already ran power directly to the battery to eliminate the trucks 12V socket and the end result is the same.

I tried another video monitor and again as soon as its plugged into the 12V socket for power, the end result is still the same.

I took the power cable of the Garmin, plugged it into an external Battery Pack and all was fine.

This issue is present weather the truck is running or not.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and/or does anyone have a possible solution to this problem.

Thank you in advance.

This sounds unusual. I'd suggest a different power cord for the Garmin just to check it out but if everything was working OK aside from this with the power cord then I might be concerned the Garmin might have a problem. Is the firmware up to date?

I already tried another power cable as well I went to a gps shop and also tried another gps unit. Neither try corrected the problem. This simple task has turned into a nightmare for me as I feel I've exhausted all options. How can this fairly new truck have such unstable 12V aux power? There must be a solution?
