Mike at KEM is the king of the Powerstroke and now he is going at it with the ecoboost.

I bet these tunes will be wild once he releases them!!

I run his big tune on my 6.4 powerstroke and its a 600hp animal with the best transmission shifting imaginable! He has the best customer service of any company that i have ever dealt with too. I had some questions about some changes i wanted on a saturday so I left him a message on his cell phone and he called back in about ten minutes and sent me a new tune about an hour later.

They make great diesel tunes, time will tell if they have the gassers down also.

That video was a bit disappointing. I though he would at least take a quick drive around.

Well there goes 3 minutes and 26 seconds of my life I'll never get back. It would have been better if you could actually read the display. The only thing I could say, if it actually a full PCM download, is it is remarkably quick compared to SCT on my 2010. Of course, once the stock tune has been downloaded to the tuner, SCT would be about as quick... Maybe a little longer.

That was an amazing video. I've never seen a tune take so long to load before.

It's just a teaser video showing they have tunes almost ready for public release. I'm sure this is a beta truck showing they are capable of storing the factory settings and having the ECM accept the tune. Pretty much a wonderful feat considering cracking the factory tune was protected like gov't secrets.

I didn't realize cracking the encryption was such a big deal and this is the first. I guess that is pretty cool!

It's not the first, just the first posting a video. Something stinks, though. I'm betting the initial PCM download still takes 45 minutes and they aren't showing that.

I don't mind if it takes 4 to 5 hours, as long as it makes my truck fly!

I used to switch between tunes. After initial download, it loads in ten minutes. It's the stock down and uploads that take time.

If you load one tune and stay with it, you'll be okay. I need performance, then towing, thus the switch.

I spoke with Mike at KEM this week and he said the tuners should hopefully be released second week of December. This will be a real tuner.

He said the major gains will be from the trans tuning. This is where we should see some MPG gains too.

I wonder if it will be comparable to Bully Dog's tuner for the Ecoboost coming out December 15th

Having had experience with these kind of tuners I can say it will probably more expensive than Bullydog but worth every penny more. Mike can tune trucks real well and will not be just engine tuning but tranny tuning and so many other areas will be changed or monitored by this tuner it will be unreal.

Bullydog and EDGE are like your canned tunes while these type of tunes will be like your high end tunes. When you plug into the computer of a truck that has been tuned by Bullydog, you can generally see when it was tuned a by the name "Bullydog" coming up while a good tuner will be able to Tune a truck and leave no evidence. If it means warranty or not, it makes a big difference.

Are you saying there will be no footprint left to show it has been tuned?
