I'd like to order a 2012 EB. Can I order now? If so, how long does it "normally" take before delivery?

 

You could probably order a 12 now. Usually 6 to 8 weeks for delivery.

 

how about you call a ford dealership.

 

I did and got the usual "Come on in...we have plenty of trucks now." Blah, Blah, Blah.

 

I would say no - because the Ford "build and price" site still has 2011's.

 

Order window for 2011s closed mid August, so any order placed at a dealer is for a 2012. I believe start of production for 2012 F150s is middle of Oct, so figure you will take delivery around the end of Nov.

But you have to order through a dealer salesmen, so find one you like. It doesn't sound like whomever you called wants your business.

 

I would imagine the dealer has 2012's on order and they could easily ammend one of their orders for yours.

I am in auto sales (Lexus) and we do it all the time for customers.

 

someone on here made a thread stating that they placed an order for a 2012 raptor a couple weeks ago. Just go in to the dealership and tell them what you want. Its simple.

 

We can place orders on the 2012 today but it will be mid NOV before delivery..

That sounds right. They are taking orders now and will start building them in mid October after they finish with all of the 2011 orders.
