Fastlanes EcoBoost F150 387 RWHP Dyno Video

Tried searching if this has been posted yet, but I'm running windows off a CD until my replacement hard drive shows up so my browser is working for sheet.

If it hasn't, ladies & gentleman, prepare to

Hope someone told them about those turbos being limited to 400 hp at the crank! They are going to cause a rift in time & space!

Who said those turbos were limited to 400hp? 400hp each is more like it.

Yeah, i'm curious also. Wookie on another topic posted the 3.5L Garret turbo's for sale. The ad said good for 200hp. So, Yeah 200hp each on top of the 300 or so naturally aspirated power the 3.5L makes. Plus it's forged so things could be interesting if they get aggressive enough.

The 200Hp number comes from how Garrett rated the turbo. Here is a link link to the Garrett spec sheet. I'm not sure how much more is there myself but I would expect there is some. I'm no biggest turbo expert by any stretch, but I have been doing a little bit of reading to see what can be done.

The interesting thing is input flange is the T 25 style, there are several much larger turbos that use this same flange. Most of the Garretts use the same oil lines and the water cooled models are pretty consistent too. There is plenty of space under the hood so adding a larger turbo might not be too much of a challenge.

The F150 turbos are not Garrett. The SHO/MKS turbos are though.

What are they then? everything I have seen shows them to be Garrertt GT1548s.

I've read that BorgWarner K03's are in the Ecoboost F150. Tiny little guys apparently, but VERY reliable. The SHO has Honeywell or Garrett. I need to look more into this now......

Correct, Borg Warner.

Honeywell is Garrett.

My VW/Audi friends love the K03 & K04s on their cars. They can make big power from little motors with them. The EB in the Explorer uses a K03.

Honeywell owns Garrett so they are one in the same.

As far as I knew, Borg Warner will be used on RWD configured EB's, Honeywells on FWD. Not sure why they are sourced that way.
