Though I'm not a big fan of lowered trucks myself, yours does look sharp!
Does doing this sacrifice the ride quality any?

Looks great! Wondering about the ride quality too. Do you ever tow, and if so, did you get bags for it?

i have the same truck with the same kit + helper bags and this is my brothers thread so ill go ahead and chime in. you need helper bags for sure if you are gonna tow or haul with a 3/5 drop. no way around it.

let me add that when you get your helper bags go ahead and shell out the extra money and get a tank, compressor, switch and gauge. It is worth every penny if you ask me and i would hate to not have it all. it is so much more convenient to be able to operate the air ride system from inside the cab with just the flip of a switch. if you just do bags with filler lines out the back you are going to have to constantly get in and out of the truck every time you want to air up or down.

the fame sits pretty close to the bump stops, and you bottom out from time to time on big bumps, even without a load. it can feel pretty rough if you are not used to the proper driving habits with a lowered truck. you dont blast through ditches thats for sure. as far as regular driving you dont really have a rough ride. firm but not rough. greatly reduces the body roll or "sway" in the rear too.

with about 20lbs in my bags while hauling my dirt-bike and all my gear, tools, EZup etc. i can level it out and still not hit bump stops due to the extra support from the air. rides like a dream too with some air in the bags. thinking about lowering mine another 2" in the rear and notching it just so i can run air in the bags all the time, even w/o a load, just for comfort purposes.

the front rides really good all the time. no bump steer and it soaks up the bumps and holes really well. minimizes roll greatly from stock and makes the steering feel very responsive.

the truck just feels and handles better all around if you ask me. i've had all kinds of different trucks with all kinds of different lowering setups and i have to say this belltech 3/5 is by far the best ride and quality wise. i highly recommend it and a helper bag setup. it is great to have the look of the drop, with the tow/haul ability thanks to the bags, the ease of loading and unloading with a low bed, and be able to control your ride height at all times.

And you lowered it to test the skid plates. Is that correct?
