what rearend are in are f150's? sorry for the dumb ? but this is my 1st ford.

 

assuming you mean gear ratio...most common options are 3:31, 3:55 or 3:73

 

nah want 2 get a polished diff cover

 

8.8" has 10 bolts
9.75 has 12 bolts..actually not even sure if the 8.8 is even available on the 09 and up anymore.

 

my raptor has the 4.10....

 

Crawl under and read the numbers on the tag attached to one of the bolts and post them. You could have a 8.8, 9.75, or 10.25.

 

My '10 FX4 has the 9.75

That said, it doesn't have a metal tag attached to one of the bolts like the old school way. There is a part identifier sticker wrapped around the diff, on the passenger side. If you look at that tag, on the top of it there will be a ford part number, it should end in your diff size.

well i took the tag off when i painted my axle. didnt pay attention to what it said tho. my cover has 10 bolts on it and is kind of rounded so i assume i have the 8.8???
