2011 FX4 Stereo/CD problems....

I have a 2011 FX4 with the Ford 6-disc CD player. When a CD is playing, only the top line has information with the song title - song artist. The second line states "No Artist". The top line most of time has a solid arrow pointing to the right when the artist's name doesn't fit. Is this normal? Why does the second line in the info area have "No Artist"? You would think the top line would have the song title and the bottom line would have the artist name. Is there something wrong with my cd player? Also, I've had numerous 'CD ERROR' messages mainly in slot 2. If slot 2 was the last slot/cd that was playing before I switched to Satellite Radio, it never plays when I select the CD key. I have to select a different disc then go back to slot 2.

Thanks.

CD format? Standard CD, MP3, WMA??? I know for a fact the 6 disc changers are super finicky once the player heats up the cd's, after an hour or so of playing. An older-thicker cd, a shiny paint/etched cd, or paper labeled cd's just don't cut it in the 6 disc oem changer's. You may try 2 or 3 disc's at a time to see if it helps. Also, try some newer, thinner cd's to see if this remedies your issue. If not, take it to the dealer. The only issue is to get them to identify/verify the concern. Any issues when ejecting cd's?

You can change menu/function settings to display different item's from the cd; artist, song, album title. Some of these may not work depending on the cd format.

I assume it is, mine does the same thing. You may want to look at your owner/operator's manual for usage tips on your stereo/cd changer. It may alleviate your concerns.

All of my commercially purchased CD have all of the information in the display. If you make your own CD's you can edit in the properties. I had to do the same thing to most of my 16gb flash drive music.

Some of mine do, most do not.

New CD's...

My issues currently are with commercially purchased CD's only. I haven't tried any copied CD's. The Blake Shelton CD is actually only about a month old and it shows "No Artist" in line 2. I haven't found a CD that shows the Artist's name in Line 2. It just seems that the technology in this truck would have a program that listed the song title in line 1 and the artist name in line 2 and/or have a way to pan to the right of the top line where the solid triangle is located. It seems like a simple fix if this is typical in all the 2011 F150 models.
