Ecoboost to Twinforce

I have been doing some research about a taurus SHO that was built by Livernois Motorsports running the 1/4 in 12.30 seconds @ 110 mph and well that has got me thinking since they are located within 10 minutes of my house of having them work on my truck. I know that SHO simply had a tune, CAI, exhuast and methanol injection for performance mods, I'm willing to bet once they come out with a tune I could have my truck running low 13's with the same setup.

Low 13's is a nice quick truck. A full second and a half is Alot to get of a heavy truck. I'm sure it could be done, but at what compromise? I'd be happy with a modest increase and better mpg.

Truth is, someone has to lead the way and push the envelope. Seeing how you are so close it seems like a match made in heaven

weren't they able to do that because of the untapped boost in the car whereas the f150 is already running at max boost?

Their was room for more boost on the SHO and no one really knows whats possible with our setup yet, but I'm gonna say their is at a minimum 50 HP available via a tune, and in the CAI and exhaust then top it off with methanol injection and I'm hoping for another 50+ HP. In all I think the guys at livernois should be able to pull a 100 HP out of this engine with the above setup and with these trucks running mid 14's stock mid to low 13's shouldn't be to far off. I have always pushed the envelope and have plans to do so with this truck.

You got the right mindset to go fast! The transmission schedule can be tweaked for a few tenths by itself. Quicker firmer shifts would help keep it in the sweet spot.

I have been in there a few times in the past few months and asked about a tuner for the ecoboost every time...so far, notta. The first time I talked with them (back in May), one of the guys behind the counter chimed in and said he has an ecoboost himself, and he couldn't wait to see what they could get out of these trucks.

The next time I went in (about a month back), they said they were working on it...but nothing yet. The guy I talked to last time didn't seem to know much about it, and definitely wasn't interested in the subject...so I bought my fuel and was on my way.

What they have done with the SHO is definitely impressive, I hope to see them follow suit with the ecoboost f150.

Yeah, you think they'd be in a hurry to get the tunes out? They would have 10x the business by tuning the EB F-150 vs. the SHO. Not many SHO's have been sold and it seems way more truck owners are intrested in tunes vs. car owners.

The issue is cracking the encryption Ford has put on the ECU, once its done it wont be long until the true power of the ecoboost is shown.
