BLUEforLIFE- I would love to see more pics of your truck. I just ordered a 2011 Red Candy FX4 Screw EB and I plan on leveling and 305/65/18 BFG All Terrain. Any chance I can see some more pics of yours??

I'm trying to figure out why so many of you guys keep saying this???? The only thing legendary about this motor is that 5.0 label.. This is not the legendary motor that's been around for decades...this is a completely brand new motor for Ford. You're rolling the dice on this motor being great and holding on forever just as much as the EB.

it's no different than the guy on a different forum that was asking a question about the 4.6L 3V in his 2011 F150 he just bought. A surprising number of people out there have no clue about the engine under the hood of their vehicle.

A close friend of mine drives a Chevy 1500 and I asked him if he has the 5.3 V8 and he shrugged his shoulders. He has no clue what's under the hood of his truck.

How is the 5.0 old school? There are no push rods and it has overhead cams.

I was going to point out the obvious too, but figured if he posted that, it wasn't worth the argument!

I was resisting pointing out the obvious but since you opened the can of worms I'll have some fun too.

The new 5.0L is nothing like the old 4.9L (marketed as 5.0) that was derived from the 302. There is not a single part on the two that is interchangeable, not even the bolts that hold it all together! Any way you cut it you will be getting a motor that has not been in production for more than a year or so if you buy a 2011 F-150. Every one of them is brand spanking new. So please explain what's so legendary about the 5.0L...

Note:
I like the 5.0L motor, if I was to buy a Mustang it would be under the hood for sure. It was my second choice for my F-150, even over the 6.2L. But in the trucks that I have driven (5 different 2011s) I liked the EB more.

Picked up my 5.0 last night. I think it was the right choice for me, after trying out the EB and the 5.0. So far, I have 39 miles on it, so a little soon to know how it is going to turn out. LOL

The 2005 will be sold. I need to swap out some stuff and clean it up a little.

What all are you gonna swap out? I know the tailgate extender and a soft tonneau cover are interchangeable.
