2011 Supercab doors poorly aligned!!!

Hi,

I have owned a 2011 Supercab EB 3.55 Lariat White tri-coat platinum dual color. Built date is 03/2011. DEARBORN

I have noticed since new (I even have the pics from dealer before purchase) that the doors don't align well.
The driver side is AT LEAST a 1/4 of an inch off (vertical alignement and 1/8 horizontal). Probably built on a Friday before the buzzer!!!Or QC guy was already clocked out...

Does anyone knows how to adjust them?
I have noticed a screw on the hinges that has a torx bolt sticking out.
The dealer says they are "fully adjustable", but that makes me very nervous that a tech or mechanic starts wrenching on my nicely painted bolts and nuts...I'd rather do it myself if it doesn't require a special tool.

Does anyone have any idea how to do it? Is there a trick or a special tool required.

Thanks,

AVSBEZZY , Florida

I have no answer for you except the standard "Take it to the dealer". I know I would if I had a new truck with an issue. Good luck!

Mine was the same way on the passenger side. It's a FX4 SC. When I took delivery the outside passenger door handle didn't work right and had to be replaced. I also had a rattle in the front or back door. I left the truck overnight and when I picked it up it was worse! The mechanic had the doors all out of whach, still had the rattle +wind noise and he scratched the inside door panel all to hell. Been there over a week because they had to order a new panel.
He offered to give me a ride home in the shuttle van but I said "no you need to get me a rental car". I'm driving a Mitsubishi Eclipe now LOL. Supposed to get her back tomorrow and will be looking real close or I'm keeping bthe rental!

Mine was built in KS probably on friday also. I guess it aint job 1!

Ditto -- that is clearly a QC issue covered under warrantee and I would not think of wrenching on it myself. My experience with Ford over the years has been they do take those kinds of issues seriously and will take care of it. If they don't make some noise and they will
