Power Adjustable Pedals,'11 F-150 SuperCrew
I just had a "Left Foot Accelerator Pedal" installed on my new 2011 SuperCrew and the installer unplugged the wiring harness for the Power Adjustable Brake and Accelerator Pedals, stating if it remained plugged up, the switch could possibly short out causing uncontrolled rapid acceleration. I've had the "LFAP" installed on all my vehicles since 1996 and most had the power adjustable pedals, my last one being a 2002 Excursion, which I just sold. The guy refused to plug it back up. There is no law on the books stating it has to remain unplugged; it is just their policy. The company bought out another company and they started putting restrictions on their accessories and parts. I am 65+, disabled, obese and cannot re-plug it myself: I located the dangling connector but do not know where it plugs into the other end. Are there any pictures available showing underneath the dash or some kind of hint as to where the two meet to reconnect? Also, I don't know if a schematic wiring diagram would help or not. I would greatly appreciate all the help I can get, short of having to take my truck to a high priced "technician" ($80 an hour, minimum). Thanks.
