Stuffing a bed

Anybody ever put a golf cart in the back of a 5.5 box? I need to be able to close the gate so I can also pull my camper. Cart is about 98 inches overall and wheelbase is 66"

I hauled one about 3 months ago and was not able to close the tail gate. I wasn't even able to put the bed extender on. Im not sure how long it was but I know it looked exactly the same as the ones Ive seen on the course.

Ummm, 98" golf cart > 66" bed. Won't fit with the gate closed at all...not even close.

My buddy with a longbed F250 barely crams a golf cart into his with gate up. Those things are huge once you try to fit them in a tight spot. Hell, a mountain bike won't fit a 5-5 with the gate up unless you kick the rear out.

Haha. Agreed. Not a chance. Best we did with my truck was move a piece of furniture for my buddy. He didn't know how big it was so we measured when we got there. 65". I have the 66" bed. Perfect fit!

I've always wanted to see if a smart car would fit with the 6.5ft bed.

Yeah, but I'm sure you could just close the tailgate real hard and it would crumple the smart car right up. Make it fit like a champ!

Yeh I know it was a funny question but some people have some great ideas sometimes. I thought maybe making a ramp up in the front of the bed so the cart sits at an angle. Guess I'll make shift one and do some measuring just to see.

Stand the golf cart on its rear end with front wheels sitting on top of the cab, it'll fit

I doubt you have enough payload anyway.

Maybe one of these could help if you plan on doing this often

My friends and I were contemplating this the other day. Pulled up next to one in a parking lot and started laughing.

I guess that ends that idea. But I did find out on some of the camper forums that you can rent golf carts. So I guess I'll look into that. Thanks though
