Lack of paint

Just washed my new 2011 raptor scab and there is no paint on the bottom of all 4doors. I also have a new GMC 1500 its all there clear coat an all. Did they miss it? Is this a warranty issue? Or are they all that way.

Just went and checked mine. All four doors of my Platinum have white tri-coat paint on the bottom.

While working at several ford dealers over the years, I have seen this problem from time to time, and All have been fixed under warranty. You are looking at being without your truck for about 3 days........ to do it properly, the doors should be pulled off, layed on a stand, and scuffed and painted. Some shops might choose to paint them on the truck, it's a short-cut, and turns the project into a one day job. The highest quality job is done with the doors off.

I can paint you a pic, if your are good with word visuals..... Open the door of your truck, and lay on your back on the driveway. Look up at the bottom, the very bottom flat part of the open door. What you see is only primer, with a over-spray mist of color on it. You actually gotta be kind of **** to even notice it.... no offense hopper.

Or, upload the pics to an album on your profile, click on the pic to enlarge it, right click and copy the properties. Then in a post box, click on the second icon from the upper right, looks like mountains, and paste the url.

Dealer got the go ahead from Ford to fix it. Took it to a body shop today estimate is 912.00 they said mostly labor in masking every thing on both sides to keep things out of the inside. Don't know how much Ford was thinking.
