leather vented seats coming apart

My 2010 is barley 9 months old and the seats are coming apart. The drivers seat will not stay attached in the front. It has a plastic "Z" channel that snaps onto the seat frame. I can roll it and snap it, but it comes off within a few minutes. I looked at the pass. side and it is still on, but is not sitting on the channel square.
This is my first Ford after having put over 500,000 miles on Dodges over the last 10 years. I was hoping to get 200K out of this one as well. This seat thing does not mean that I can't, but I hate to see things start to go down hill in under a year.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Bryan

I think I saw a TSB for that fix. Check with the dealer.

That is the info I need. Does not look like warranty will cover it though.

I don't know you'll have to take the extra step and see if the dealer(s) will authorize it as warranty item or not......

The 2010 I had done the same thing. The dealer order seat cover and it fix it. If you don't have 36000 miles then they will replace.

If you're still 36,000 miles, they will fix it. This is a problem with nearly all of the 09-10s with bucket seats. If you have a moonroof, you may want to check and see if your headliner is sagging at the back middle of the moonroof (in front of the dome light). That's another common problem.

I noticed the seat issue on my '10 a few days ago. I shove the clip back in but on mine it seems as though it hits some cabling under there when the seat auto-slides forwards and backwards when I put the key in the ignition.

I'll be taking it in for that issue and the door handle recall soon. I'll check for the sagging headliner issue as well.

Took the truck in to my local dealership to get the seats fixed. Told them to repair via the TSB. They said they would. They didn't, Morons. The best I can explain it is they put two nose rings through my leather and attached them to small oval shapped openings on the metal lip the plastic c-channel clip hooks onto. Well, it didn't work. The clip would not stay on the bar. Did I mention they are Morons?

I bought the TSB parts and fixed it myself. Put clips on the passenger side seat as well for good measure.
