Is there one you regret?

So I joined here in 2000 having just upgraded from a 98 Dakota Sport 4x4 (POS) to a 4x4 Offroad short bed screw, 2000 model.

2 years later I upgraded that one to a "BFT" Edition F250. Took 5 years to pay that one off. I traded it on a 2008 Mustang. HUGE mistake. LOVED the Mustang, but should have kept the debt free 250 with 28K on the odometer.

Fast forward to last year, traded the Mustang on the latest, the 2010 FX4 I have now. Dont get me wrong, I love this truck. But dayum, if I had the 250 still, it would be lifted (cheaper and didn't fit in the garage anyway!) loaded up and probably be boasting a super charger (the original intention in getting the 5.4)

I'll attach the pics I have left...

What vehicle do you regret giving up?

First the 2000:

The 250:

Oh and the Mustang;lowered, suspension work, the bottle, tunes, etc., a large amount of fun.

And the latest;

The '10 is pretty good looking, I don't think you screwed up there at all.

The one I kind of regret getting rid of is my 96 F150. Couldn't have that and the 04 though...

Although your current truck looks awesome, the 250 looks pretty sweet, and supercharged would have been pretty rare and cool.

The best part of the 250 was being paid off, the thing couldn't get out of it's own way . But if I took all the $ I've spent since then, it would be pretty nice and low milage, lol. Oh well, live and learn.

I'm keeping the '10! I'll be an old man not able to drive when that one is gone.

I'm regreting getting rid of my 03 250 diesel crewcab a bit. I had everything on it chip, exhaust, lift, wheels, nice Leer shell. I was 8 months from it being paid off. I do miss the power that thing had, but on the other hand I don't miss all the maintence, noise, and all the issues that comes along with the diesel.
Live and learn for sure, but I'm plenty happy with my 150. Ill be keeping this for a long time.

Your f150 looks very very nice. I would give it a second look if you passed me on the street.

As far as what vehicle I regret giving up, I'd have to say either my 77 International Travelall 1010 (nicely restored and super sick looking) or my 1978 Dodge Ramcharger.

I do miss some of the trucks I had, but I don't regret selling them as the newer ones are always quieter and smoother and less maintenance. I just got out of a 2008 250 diesel with a few mods and over 500RWHP but it is nowhere near as quick and smooth and nice to drive as this 2011 150. It fits in parking spaces easier along with the garage and is better around a city. You did good man. It was worth it. Don't forget you have warranty and road side assistance now.

Your 2000 model was sweet too. I love that exact model.

There are two vehicles I regret selling:

1.) 1991 F-150 Supercab 5.0 - Sold this in 2002 and bought a 2002 Tacoma Prerunner TRD. Loved the Toy at first, but grew to hate it. It was uncomfortable, transmission shifted terribly, and it was barely more fuel efficient than the old F-150. When gas hit a whopping $2, I had enough and traded it for the send vehicle I regret selling:

2.) 2006 Tacoma 2wd 4 banger - this was the most bland truck in terms of performance, but was way more comfy than my 2002 and averaged 20 mpg around town. Best off all, i had paid it off. I decided in 2010 I wanted a car and traded it for a new Hyundai Elantra Touring. That was a fun little car with the 5 speed, but my left knee started getting stressed from shifting all the time. I also felt sick not having a truck. I was going to find an older truck and keep the Hyundai as my DD, but the issue with my left knee forced me to sell it.

So, I decided to buy another truck and knew I wouldn't be happy with another 4 banger Toyota. The v6 trucks are barely better than what the new f-150s and not any cheaper. So here we are. I love my truck, but hate the payment. Only 4 more years!

Love the tire / wheel combo. Looks great on your truck.

I regret trading in an Avalanche for a Navigator a few years ago. The Av never had a problem but I perceived it was getting high on mileage. The Navigator was nothing but trouble (bought used). Traded that in barely running for my F150 and I love it.

I regret selling my 01 screw 5.4L a couple years ago. I loved that truck, did a lot of mods to it, but I wanted a 4wd. So my regret is not buying the truck with 4wd in the first place. Heres my missed 01.

But I love my new truck too, just not the extra money I would have in my pocket if I kept my 01.

I miss my old 98' Chevy Tahoe with the 350 Vortec, 3" FabTech lift, 33" Tires, Off-Road Hella Lighting etc etc! It was paid for, was awesome in the snow for our Canadian winters and it went through just about anything off-road!

Should have kept my 2000 Ford Ranger and it would be paid off for a couple years now. Cool little truck too. Truck I currently have won't be paid off until December of 2012 so I still got a ways to go and its only an '04. Why did I trade in the ranger for this thing? Thats what I regret but I still love this truck
