Attention 5.0l owners!!!
I AM READY TO BUY A NEW TRUCK, I AM CURIOUS ON HOW THE 5.0L DOES WITH FUEL MILEAGE? HOW DOES IT TOW??? WHAT DO YOU TOW WITH IT?? i HAVE DRIVEN THE TRUCKS WITH EMPTY LOADS, BUT THE TRUTH COMES OUT WHEN YOU PUT 6-7,000 LBS BEHIND IT. ALL INFO APPRECIATED.
Why all the caps?
Combined driving + Shell E10 87 + 30% city/70% highway + best mileage = 20.25 mpg
Highway driving + cruise at 70 mph + Shell E10 87 + best mileage = 20.23 mpg
I have not towed as of today.

No worries, just messing with ya. To put it simple 420lb-ft at 3,000rpm > 380 @4500
Check out Ford's demo vids with the EB (at the bottom, the red truck) Mind you, they are pitting it against the Tundra 5.7L, and Hemi 5.7L , GM is a non factor. With the exception of GM, the other motors outclass the 5.0L. It may help you put into perspective the EB usable power range.
