Fair Price for Exterior Detailing?

I paid $60us for an exterior detail job on my '10 XLT 4x4 Scab.
Tuxedo Black and Silver.

Washed and waxed, all exposed plastic treated and the wheels and tires cleaned and sealed.

Even polished my exhaust tip. I thought it was chrome.

Running boards cleaned and waxed also.

What do you guys think? Fair price?

Yup, if they did a good job with all that. My dealership charges $75 for all that plus vacuuming.

Wow, up here that would run you anywhere from $150-$200!

Excellent deal. I wouldn,t work that cheap. How long did it take them to do it ?
I usally spend 6-8 hours, doing it all by hand.

I dropped it off at 8am and picked him up @ 4pm.

The establishment is the same one that always washes my truck, too.

Every Tues they put it thru a 'touchless' power wash, clean the windows, remove the mats and wash them then vacuum out the truck.

They treat the dash and hand detail the wheels and tires. Then a crew of 6 hand dries it.

All that for $12. (Senior day)

Perretti's Detailing.

At the price I would drop it off once a month. It takes me between 8-10hrs with my PC.

Let me offer that as long as you're happy, all is good. I'm sure the truck looked pretty nice too. For a true "detail" that includes cleaning and correction before protection though, you'd be looking at closer to $200.00 up here. Trust me though, there are a number of tricks and products that can be used to make a vehicle look 100% better in less than an hour with little or no real work or talent involved. The real difference is in how long the vehicle will look good after the detail.
