new truck pricing

My brother is looking at buying a new f-150. He has 20K to spend. All it has to have is V8, 4X4, auto, tow package, and a decent radio.
How much should he be looking at spending? Or would that be above his budget?

The only thing I can tell ya is to have him go on the Ford website and build one with what he wants/needs and get a base price from there. But I am thinking for 4x4 you aren't going to find a new truck for that price, unless they are discounting 2011s like crazy when the new models hit the floor.

He should be able to find a REALLY nice slightly used truck for that price... Could probably pick up a lariat 4x4 or Fx4 for that price and have everything he wants on it.

Here's a few local (to me) listings I found just by doing a quick search:

07 Ford F150 Lariat 4X4 Crew Cab 133K miles- $15900

2006 Ford F-150 Lariat Supercab 4x4 127K miles- $15995

2006 Ford F150 XLT Super Cab 4x4 56K miles - $18990

You could get a nice new XL regular cab for that price with some haggling.

the price on used trucks here in cleveland has really dropped recently. You can easily find a nice 05 to 08 4x4 with 50k to 70K miles for around $14K.
