UPDATE: Drove my truck tonight and was the worst its been in quite a while. Noticeable lurching like crazy while accelerating, cruising, you name it. Frustration continues!

Maybe you have a coil pack problem or something. When driving mine with the AC on I feel the "miss" or "shudder" maybe once every minute or something like that, but only at cruising speed, not while accelerating.

I still think that's what has to be going on. But the last time i was at the dealer, they said they all checked out. Is there anything I can do to make a problem show up when they test them? And does your AC thing bother you or have you just ignored it at this point?

Ok. Well if anyone has more ideas, I'd love to hear them. Otherwise, I'll return my program to stock and take it to the dealer again. Thanks.

Sorry to keep reviving this thread. Taking it to the dealership tomorrow. Plugged in the SCT tonight to return to stock. Decided to look at the codes if there were any. Only one that showed up was U0100 - Lost Communication to ECM/PCM. What is the significance of that code? Could it have anything to do with my symptoms? Do I mention that to the dealer or keep that part quiet? Thanks.

That code could be a result of remove the SCT device. I would not worry about it. Clear it out and see if it happens again.

I know everyone is probably tired of reading this thread, but picked the truck up from the dealership after another unsuccessful attempt to figure it out. Of course the tech couldn't replicate the problem, all the tests came back clean, no TSB's, no codes, most up to date programming. Asked if I could drive with the shop foreman and he wants to ride along with the service tech so there's no confusion. Of course neither of them were available at the same time when I stopped by. So I'm going back on Monday to drive with them. Super frustrating, as I wasn't off the lot 30 seconds when I had to accelerate onto the highway and felt the symptoms I told them about. Not sure what I'm going to do if they tell me there's no resolution. I'm not sure I'm the type that can ignore it. Only had the truck since May and I'm tempted to part with it if they don't figure something out. Going to try letting the gas tank burn all the way through and refill with different gas and see if that could be a factor. I miss my 2002!

OK, took a semi long trip today about 60 miles total. Verified what I have been saying: AC I feel the "miss/shudder" about once every 30 secs even when accelerating but more with coasting around 65-70. With AC off it does not happen at all. It seems that over 2000 rpm I don't feel it. It is hard sometimes to tell if its the miss/shudder or just a bump in the road since the roads are so crappy around here. On really smooth stretches I can definitely feel it.

Why don't you use some of the tools that you have?
You've got a sct programmer
You can use live link and datalog certain parameters by using a laptop via the programmer.

There's alot of things live link can monitor and record as the truck is going down the road....

Thanks y'all. Sorry for neglecting the post. Was out of town all weekend. As for the AC trick. This really sucks if thats the case. We're in a record setting drought down here with no end in site. 100+ all week. Also have a baby on board. So driving with no AC is absolutely not an option.

As for the tuner, I haven't explored that option. What do I do exactly? Hook it to my truck, USB to computer? Where do you get 'Live Link'? If this is an option, that would be something I will pursue for sure!

As for the update, went back to the dealership today. Rode with the service tech. He felt what I was feeling, but still insisted that its part of how this transmission works. Said there was a bit of transmission shudder, but according to their diagnostics, its still within the specs. He put in a fuel conditioner to see if it could be a case of bad fuel as well. He did tell me that if I feel it gets any worse, to bring it in before the 36,000 mile warranty and they would see what they could do. So basically, no real resolution. A bit frustrating to say the least. I just wonder if I'm being crazy. Thanks for the interest guys and I'm anxious to hear about how to use my programmer to help.

Alright, bringing it back again. Hope maybe someone could shed a little more light for me. I was driving my truck tonight and think I may have noticed something. It seems like I get the stutter/pulsing whenever my truck is cruising at 1400 rpms. I was going 30, it did it. I went 40 and it did it. When on the highway, it does it. Does that tell you anything? Does that help at all? And to further describe the symptom, here are my analogies:

1. Similar to when I had COP issues on my 02
2. Similar to when you are towing something and the trailer and truck aren't quite in sync and they play that bit of tug of war.

Any further input would be appreciated. Thanks y'all. Oh and do these symptoms sound like something my custom tuner could fix? I have an SCT X3 from 5 Star. Thanks.
