Supercrew rear seat question

Is this a factory hole in the side of the bigger seat?

What is that? It's such a close up that I have no real reference, and my brain hurt from guessing. Got any pics from further away? It would help immensely.

It's a side pic of the larger rear bench seat. You have to lower the smaller rear seat back to see it.

No hole in mine, but also no fold down center rest.

I have a 09 Lariat and mine does not have a hole in it. I would say that hole should not be there.

I would think there should be a plug. No reason for anyone to check their truck unless they have the center arm rest option as I would guess that is to access the hardware that pivots that.

My '10 FX4 Screw hos no hole. I have black leather but no center armrest in the rear seat. Actually, I just learned from these pics that rear seat center armrest was an option..... Never seen one with an armrest before.

I have a 2010 Lariat with the center armrest in the backseat and there is no hole like that on my truck?? I'd definitely be taking it back to the dealership to have them figure out what the hell it is and to have it fix!!!

Did you lower the seat back of the smaller seat to check? It seems it's an access point for the pivot of the center armrest.

If you did lower it, please post a pic so I can use that when I go to the dealership.

I have the same hole in my 2011 HD. I could feel it, but could not see it. So here is my stupid question of the day:

How did you drop the seat back? I specifically asked the dealer if it could be done and they said "no". I also looked in the manual and there was nothing about dropping the rear seat backs.

I beginning to think that the 2011 manuals are very lacking in details.

Using the box end of a wrench makes this a lot easier.
