13 weeks is brutal, I cant wait for anything longer than a week. That being said I guess you could prob use it as leverage on either of the trucks if you wanted to, I assume both dealers are hungry for business... My buddy just bought a brand new F-350 Lariat loaded and they had it sent to him in less than 3 weeks. Since they are almost 100k after taxes and crap in Canada they bend over backwards to make a deal. But please done settle on a GMC I've seen a lot of them literally fall apart on the rigs...

*UPDATE*

Well, the Ford dealer ended up giving me a loaner to tow the equipment I had rented for a job. He asked if I would mind a used F-150 but said I could take a new 5.0 XLT. I told him the used one would be fine. That was Monday. Wednesday he calls to tell me the EB Platinum I had ordered is in. I went to look at it & figure out my various finance options. Everything is just as I ordered but it had just came off the truck & needed to be prepped. I will be picking it up sometime on Friday. I must admit. The quality of the F-150 is evident just from sitting in it. I'm glad I'm getting the Ford in the long run over the GMC or anything else. It was frustrating that I had an original delivery date of 5/23 & it didn't arrive until 5 weeks later.

Happy for you. That its finally in, that you ended up with Ford, and are getting the truck you really wanted! You will love it, I am sure, Ford is more than just a step above the rest!

Mine was 4 weeks late and around 13 weeks total. I almost canned the order too but I'm really glad I waited. You're gonna love it. You'll poop yourself when you see how great it tows. Congrats. BTW they prepped my truck and had it to me in 4 hours after it came off the truck, you shouldn't have to wait that long to get it.

Sorry to hear that. I ordered a 2011 XLT 4X4 Supercrew with Ecoboost the 26th of April and took delivery on May 1st. The order did not go into the order bank until the 28th. I never anticipated waiting 4 weeks to build and deliver.
I can honestly say I could not have waited 13 weeks but unlike you I would have stepped up to a Lariat or FX4 and steered clear from GM.

Glad to hear it all worked out for you It's funny, I'm opposite of you. I don't mind my truck being pushed out because our Fusion Lease isn't up until December.

Be careful, in the 2010 the only break-in mileage restriction wass for towing.

Here's a couple of pics for everyone that followed the thread. Had the side windows tinted 35% & line-X.
