newbie question...

Hi there... I'm new into the truck world, always had cars and I just bought a 2009 F150...

anyways,

I want my truck to look exactly like this one....

What do I need ? I do not plan to do any off road, so only city use.... but I want it jacked up pretty much only to have the wheels to fit under the fenders....

so I'd like to find out the wheels size, the tyres size and brand, the type of suspension ... well basicly anything I need to have my trucks like this.....

Thanks for your help

Well first off, we need more details about your truck.

2wd? 4wd? model?

Everyone has those rims btw, but whatever floats your boat.

I have a 2009 F150
4x4
Crew Cab, XTR

as for the rims, I know they are really popular, but I live in a city, and jacked up trucks are really not popular...

lift is a 6" fabtech, 18" rock stars with ~4.5" backspacing and the tires are nitto mud grapplers. probably a 35/12.50/18

i would suggest going with a tire other than the mud grappler. they are loud as hell, perform like crap, and tread life is terrible. the trail grappler i was really impressed with and is a very nice Mud terrain for a good price.

you can fit up to a 37" tire with the 09+ with certain 6" lifts if you get the correct backspacing. IIRC it's around 5.5 so the tire won't stick out as far so it's a trade off.

better photo to show front

If you want your 2009 to look exactly like this, you're gonna have to sell yours and buy a 04-08 F-150...

I agree with this assesment.

Wheels are 18" KMC rockstar's
Tires are Nitto Mud Grapplers 35x12.50x18

- I as a previous owner of mud grapplers i agree on getting something else. The tires look mean and aggressive as hell, but they absolutely SUCK on the road. The worst road tires i have ever experienced... And you said you will be driving in the city only..

and just to add: The truck pictured is 2wd with a 6" fabtech lift kit

How can I find out what is the biggest tire size I could go with the stock suspension and with a 2" lift .... with 18" wheels...

as I said, the truck is a 2009 F150 XTR XLT 4x4 crewcab

I find 6" a little to high and expensive for my use...

also as for the tires, I do agree with what everyone just said, I find the Falken's Wildpeak or High Country A/T can be interesting choice....

with a 2" leveling kit on stock wheels you can fit a 35" tire.

if you do the rockstars in 18x9's they have 0 offset (5" backspacing) i'd go with a 33" tire.

by 0 offset (5" backspacing), do you mean I will need a 5" spacer for the back ?

or its just additionnal info, and by buying 18x9 and putting 33" tires, I'm all set and good to go ?

its from the center of the wheel(hub) to the back of the rim itself...no spacers..
All wheels stick out or in depending on backspacing/offset.

to answer your question no spacer......
get on ebay or someplace and buy your Autospring leveling kit and your wheels and tires as the fella above said and you are good to go
