Center Console - Dash Lights

A two part comment:
1. Does anyone make an insert for the center console on a 2010 F150? It's like a dark cave and everything gets all jumbled up.

2. Is there anyway to turn on your dash lights short of covering up the dash light sensor? It's aggravating when it rains and you turn on your lights but the dash lights won't come on because it's still "light" out. I have started using my GPS to show me my speed.

Thanks in advance for any answers!!!

1. I tapped into the Aux Pwr and used a tilt switch, flat LED strips for lighting from AZ (left overs from reflector turn signal Mod) in the center console.

2. Turn off the auto lighting feature when you need to see the panel.

I did a very similar thing for the center console but I used a power adapter and plugged into the port of the console since I did not wnat to have to take the console apart to tap the wires. I just used a "tilt" switch that I installed in the console lid and plugged right into the port...works great. I have a strip of about 6 LEDs on both sides on the interior of the console...
