Another 5.4 to EcoBoost convert

After reading the thread about the navigation option possibly not being available through 2012 I went ahead and pulled the trigger. It had 142 miles on it on delivery and I got 18.3 MPG on my 100 mile trip home varying my speed every 5-10 miles. (55-75) I noticed that the mileage appears to drop off pretty good @ 75 mph.

My truck is 4x4 with the 3.73 locker

I'm diggin the silver with the painted wheels. Everything matches so well. I like the Lariat 20's a little better than the FX-4's.

Nice truck! I may be doing the same thing, snatching up a 2011 with Nav as well. I found one 825 miles away!

I strongly recommend tuning the in-dash screen to the instant fuel gauge (the vertical green bar). I started paying attention to that bar as I drove and it really, really helped me change my driving habits to increase my mpg. I'm seeing 2mpg better overall as a result...

Thanks for the compliments everybody

The Nav equipped trucks are getting hard to find already, this was the only truck I could find in Silver with the nav & 20" wheels. I searched on Ford's website keying in zipcodes from eastern texas to alabama

I dont really care for the wood either but not enough for me to not buy it. I was strongly considering a FX4 because of it, but I really wanted the homelink in the lariat

I used Autotrader to find a Red/tan max tow navi plus moonroof and cooled seats. Found in NC, 840 miles away. In negotiations with dealer.

Nice! Enjoy! I have FX4 Eco with 3.73 and I have already put a leveling kit and 34's with 600 miles currently...I can easily average 18mpg! My old 5.4...I would struggle to get 15mpg. And the power...ah...no comparison

deltascrew, off subject, but have to ask. Is that 65 Mustang Twilght Turquoise? I have a fastback that color. Could be the light, but seems to be the same. Sorry to hijack, but this si important! That was a rare color.
