any 09/10 edge evo cs good news?

Hi folks. I am wondering if anyone in the 09/10 5.4 realm has any positive news on the results of the 85150 edge evolution cs programmer? I am mostly looking for canned tune results, but if you happen to have gryphoned yours, and have good news to share that way, I'd love to hear that too. There seems to have been several negative things said about the results for the 09/10 models. Can it possibly be all bad?

I have an 09 plat- with the edge cts. i have had it for the past 20K the truck currently has 51K give ot take on it. I purchased the prog for the initial task of changing tire size as well as bumping up to power level 3. i am running stock rims, on goodyear wrangler silent armor 285 60 20. they are a 10 ply tire. they weigh a lot. and i put bilstien 5100s on it - front set at 2in level setting.

i can tell you i do love edge products. never had an issue with them. i have had the tuner set to 87 oct tune. canned tune. for the past 7K or so. with a litle wot here and there. but generally driving conservative. i am getting right at 17 avg. actual real world fill up mpg. i travel in town. then interstate or in town and then 2 lane hwy. then interstate and then in town . this is to and from work. recently took a 4.5hr drive each way. took 2lane to 55south to rte 4 here in illlinois. avg on puter was 18.5. real world fill up was 18.1

that was just getting in, and not worrying about passing anyone. drove 68 -70 on the interstate, and drove 58 or so everywhere else. stopped for a couple beers. filled up before we left home. filled up 20 miles from home cause it was cheaper. showed just under 600 miles. filled up right at 33.2 gals.

i was impressed. it was me and my wife and probably 200lbs of stuff in cab.

shop around to find the best price. i paid right at 530 for mine. from a speed shop in morrison il.

Thanks, that's the first bit of good news I've read so far. I'm guessing that you have no pinging, or engine knock, as I'm certain you would gave mentioned it. The negative comments I heard had to do with pinging, and it scared me.

Call Edge.....they must have gotten to all the stray calibrations that fell through the cracks....that's what part of the problem is/was.....that's also part of the problem with canned tunes....grouping a whole bunch of calibrations to fit one tune....that why custom tunes are superior.....

I have not had any codes pop, however when i had it set to level 3. i did have a cam position sensor error come up . but no engine light. just a code stored . i did a why not scan one night in the driveway. it has not returned. i also return to stock. and check for updates to the edge every 6 mos or so . i wish there was an easier way. ill have to check the site. as far as i know the software checks when its connected to puter.

i plan on getting a front facing cam for parallel parking . i love the rear cam. however i am usualy way far away from the vehicle in front of me.!!
