Ambient Lighting

I've read the 100 post on this site concerning adding ambient lighting to our trucks.
I have a 2009 Platinum and would like to add the ambient lighting that the newer models have.
After reading through all the threads, I still can't figure out which part numbers I'd need to buy.
Can anyone help?
Maybe I should have clarified a little better.
The ambient lighting kit on the new platinum's have a cup holder ring that illuminates. this ambient lighting kit has a drilled out hole for one LED light for the cup holder. I was actually looking to match the kits up exactly. I've read you need to order the ambient kit, the cup holder ring and a new console kit to "sandwich" it. My question was whether or not my 09 platinum would need all these pieces. I never could find a firm answer.

There's more to it than just the cup holder rings. There are also LEDs under the dash on both sides and two more mounted on the back of the console for the rear seat plus one inside the console. There are also two switches on top of the console that control the color and brightness.

I'm not familiar with the console layout on the 09-10s to know if the switch would fit in the same spot. I know the wires will need to be added as this option was not there before 2011.

When I was trying to decide between the Lariat and Platinum, I had my dealer price the two with similar options.

The lady that does all the orders told me the ambient lighting isn't available as factory-installed on the Lariat, but that it was available as a dealer add-on. I say that to say this: try calling a Ford dealer and see if they can give you a part number(s) for the kit...

I bought from Grapevine Ford in Texas, just in case a local dealer doesn't know the numbers.

The price for the rear light harness is $160.00, bezel for harness $30.00 each, iside console $60.00, front foot well $160.00, switch $14.00. I didnt get price on control boxes since I have them already. When I get home ill post schematic.

Woah! You can get the entire kit from Tasca for about $240.00. Why individual pieces? Now I'm wondering what comes in the kit - maybe just the front cupholders, footwells, etc. Maybe the rear is not included.

I am thinking about doing this as well, but it looks like quite a bit of work.
