Tailgate Step & Stow away Bed Extender

Hi folks,

I am a new member and this is my first post. In the next few days I plan to buy a used F150 Lariat (2010 model). I've found two trucks that really fit exactly what I want except one doesn't have the tailgate step and the other doesn't have the stow away bed extender.

Can either of these options be added by my local dealer? Can I purchase on ebay and install myself?

I really appreciate anyone taking the time to help this newbie.

You can easily add the stow away bed extender yourself. Installation takes all of 10 minutes and you can order it from Tasca Parts. Tailgate step is another thing. It would require a new tailgate, at quite a cost.

There are some aftermarket tailgate steps you can add to any bed although I can't remember the name of the brand. You can find them on Google I'm sure.

Check the marketplace out on this site too - there is one for sale right now.

Buy the one with the tailgate step and then add the extender later, much much cheaper.
