Exclamation Please Help Key stuck in cylinder bed tailgate. FIXED!

If the truck is under warranty I would try and turn it with a pair of pliers, if it comes out, you are good, if not, drive to the dealer and they can deal with it.

Have you tried getting into the door through the back panel to see if something is causing the jam up?

Open and re-close the tailgate, then try and lock it and remove the key.

I would try pushing hard on the tailgate to make sure it is fully closed. Try putting push pressure on it while turning key. If that doesn't do it then try putting pull pressure on it and see if it will turn whe doing it.

Not really, as there is much there. It is basically the locking/opening mechanism and some parts to disengage the latches on the side.

lol, hit that key with a big hammer. I'm just kidding climb in the bed and give the tailgate a good kick (hard) but, don't break your toes or anything.

Other than that I can't think of anything else that hasn't been said.

Good luck

take off the panel on the inside of the tailgate, you should be able to get the key out with a little bit of patience
