Hooking up your IPAD to your sync system...

Just finalized the paperwork on a brand new platinum 4x4 with the ecoboost engine today, should be arriving on friday.

the question i have is, has anyone tried hooking up their Ipad to their sound system via the USB port, and can you control Itunes through the steering wheel controls.

If you can use the USB, can it be done through Bluetooth, and can my phone work through the bluetooth system at the same time?

I dont have an IPAD, but I do have an IPOD Touch, and once you select the album you want with the IPOD, you can then select the various tracks with your steering wheel controls...

Yes, you can use BT or USB. I am not sure if the Ipad/Iphone will support ad2p which is the BT protocal for streaming but Sync does. I have had my Droid streaming music and google maps at the same time over BT with no problems while my Ipod touch was charging via usb.

As posted, you can select tracks forward or backwards with SW controls even while streaming over BT.
