Easy Ecoboost mod

Didn't much care for the offset bracket on the front bumper and a tag is not a requirement so I purchased the front bumper insert to match the passenger side. About $33 at local Ford dealer, I'm sure I could have bought cheaper on the internet, but I was passing by the other day and just pulled in. I was surprised how easily the bracket popped off, just reach in through the lower grill opening and press/wiggle the locating tabs until you can pry it off from the front. The new inserts came as a pair with a passenger and driver side, so make sure you have the correct one, and it just presses back in to the locating slots. 5 minutes max.
The first of a few planned changes, next is to get the factory wheels, tires, fx4 stickers, and step bars off. Only problem is funding for the necessary replacements!

Looks much better, nice job. That offset bracket looks like *** IMO.

The bracket is ugly looking when empty but at least it's not some dumbass dealer drilling holes in a bumper to add a bracket "for free". Glad I'm in a state that doesn't need a front plate, going to pick up some of these also.

My state requires front plates, but this will be the first mod along with flipping the tires to blackwall and not white letters (the next day).

I will probably end up changing this as well. My dealer said when I picked mine up Saturday that he was not ordering EcoBoost with the brackets anymore. I went ahead and put a plate on mine to try it but I'm not sure I can get used to it!
