Smile Daystar leveling kit

I ordered a daystar 1" leveling kit wanting to give my front end a slight boost. I was afraid that a 2" spacer would bring the front a little higher than the rear. I have a 2010 F150 XLT Screw and the back was 2" higher than the front at stock. When I received the kit I measured the spacer and it was actually 1 1/4". Anyway, I had the kit installed and it gave me 1 1/2" of lift. The truck looks perfectly level even though the back is still slighly higher 1/2".
My previous truck was a 2005 F150 with a 1.5" AS. When I installed the AS on my 05 I noticed that my truck did not ride as smooth as before and It also appeared that I lost some turning radius. With the Daystar, the ride actually feels better, if thats possible, and I don't find any lost of turning radius either. This is just my observations and I am not endorsing Daystar over Autospring. I believe both are good products.

Cool, keep us informed on how it looks (pics) and how works out for you. I'm in your exact boat. I don't want to put bigger blocks in the rear along with a 2" front kit. I thought the whole reason behind a leveling kit was to do just that....level the truck out, not lift it entirely, or put the nose 1" higher than the rear if you don't block it.

Another pic.

Upper ball joint angle doesn't look bad.

Close up of coil spring with spacer. You cannot see the spacer on top of the coil springs by its there.

Why does the truck come with the leveling issue to begin with? Anyone know? Gonna get a leveling kit next week.

I am wondering the same thing. The 04-08 models have a worse rake than the 09-11's. The rake on the Rams and Silverado's is not as bad as the F150s. Good question though.

So when you load it it sits level. Other brands squat in the rear with the slightest loads

Makes sense, but Ford is assuming you are hauling something 24/7.

I'd rather the sag in the rear when hauling.

I believe it has to do with mileage and a more aerodynamic stance. With the front sitting low the air is deflected down and under drivetrain for less resistance.

^ yes, that has a ton to do with it. When I leveled my Superduty there was a HUGE impact to mileage, although the "level" kit put the nose higher than the rear... see my gripe above

Joe STX, thanks for the pics
That is perfect. I'll take the rear still slightly higher. Looks great and now I'll have to bookmark this topic. Thanks again
Oh yeah, let us know if you see a slight hit in MPG's. Not that it really matters, just curious

I see they have it for $35.99! Wow, thanks for the pics. I had the A.S 2.5 on my last f150 and it sit real nose high. I had to go back & order the rear blocks to get it level again!! Gotta love F150online, where else would we get any of this information!!
