Any F -150 drivers out there know if I can buy a OEM brake controller? If so do you know approx how much? And can it be installed by an asphault mechanic.

 

yes it can be purchased.

yes you can install it, should have the wires you need in your glovebox (atleast mine are in there)

member paid $220 installed from dealer.

 

check out blueovalboys post's he did a write up on this. i did it and i cant even boil water lol good luck!

Mine installed and activated by my dealer, was $220. It has be installed/activated by the dealer as they have to update the computer program so that the TBC output is displayed on the dash display. The TBC was $185 and the install/activation was $35. According to the F150 manual, if it's not installed by the dealer, all warranties are voided.
